| I need to transplant my peonies. I work at an apple orchard and have not had the time to move them this month (Oct) due to long hours at work. Can I move them in November? Could I wait until early spring? I don't need to divide them, just move them. I plan on keeping the clumps intact so I don't disturb them too much.

| If you can dig in your soil, you can transplant in November. If you have an early freeze you may not be able to. I would cover the plants and the area you are going to move them, with a heavy cover of leaves, NOW, to be sure you will be able to dig later. Al |

| Hi Matthew Better to transplant now, peonies don't like to be moved in the spring. I transplant 'till the end on Oct. and have had good success. You're in a warmer zone, so should be fine. Just don't plant them too deep, that's usually the reason for no blooms the 1st couple of years. Good luck Heather |
