There is no guarantee what a peony seed will produce. The majority are pink singles but they could be anything. If you want to guarantee the colors you get you need to purchase plants.

Thanks. I'm not wanting to guarantee colors, I just wanted some seeds from other colors to "experiment" and see what happens. I love growing from seeds and prefer doing so. I know it takes alot of time and patience. I know that they won't "come true" from seed. I just want to try for fun and see what happens.

I hacw lots of tree peony sees if those are what you want, but keep in mind I've found they take a long time to come up with roots the first winter, and then tops the second I guess, though sometimes the same season planted under some unknow special circumstancss some folks say. Perhaps as soon as they're ripe and warm growing condtions , but having tried that several times it didn't work for some reason and repeated chilling followed by warming twice was the only way mine sprouted, til some forgotten seeds in the frige finally sprouted, but I lost track of when they went into the frige unfortunately, since they weren't dated.
