A ten inch tall non blooming peony after six years? I would dig it up and see what the roots look like, and the soil it is not thriving in. If the problem is not apparent I would work compost into the soil up to two feed deep and replant with a different peony. Al

How much dirt is over the peony now? After that many years the rain can have washed dirt over the root. If it has too much dirt over it, it won't grow much & certainly won't bloom.

I bought 6 peonies this yr with all kinds of blooms on them. Planted like 3 each in a lrg pot....after all the present blooms died off no new blooms formed but the leaves r growing big and healthy but no new blooms forming...what happened?? what can I do to make them bloom again?

Cindy if you bought a blooming peony plant, you bought it at its best for this year. Peonies bloom only once per season. If you are going to grow them three plants per pot, is should be a very large pot indeed. Even in a 24 inch pot they will be crowded in a couple of years. Your plants if healthy will fill out with a lot of new growth through the summer before dieing back with the fall frosts. Al
