| Hi,
I'm a relatively new gardener and a friend gave me a chili pepper plant a month ago. The plant is growing well but I have no idea what type of chili it is - can anyone tell?
Also, I've searched the forum (and google) but didn't find the information I was looking for. I was growing this plant in an office window but I want to move it home now. I'd like to grow it on a balcony - will strong winds be a problem? I could take the plant indoors to a sunny location but I've been reading that chili plants need insects for pollination (and I'd prefer the balcony option if the winds won't be a problem). I'm quite confused at this stage, so any advice would be very welcome.
Thanks in advance! |

| Hi, I'm new to chilli growing as well your plant looks very similar to my Cayenne and Jalapeno plants (I couldn't tell the difference between the plants until the peppers started to grow) All my 28 chilli plants are inside on the windowsill and I pollinate them with my little finger, I've got 47 chillis so far with some plants yet to flower. Hope that helps Link to pics of my plants for comparison. Lally |
