I see taproots on some of the seeds, pic below is of proper planting position.

pmb2005 - those that have a good taproot on them, plant them now; the others that are just showing a root tip, you can let them wait a little longer if you like. That's a helpful pic that northeast chileman posted showing the best way to do it.

I'll add one bit of info that I just discovered last year. Your seeds in the pic above appear to be fresh, so they're germinating well, but if the seed is a bit older, the seed coat can be very hard and leathery, and even if it germinates, sometimes the embryo has difficulty freeing itself from the coat and dies an early death. I found that if I took a pair of small sharp-pointed scissors or an exacto knife, and very carefully snipped the edge of the seed coat, I could sometimes free the embryo from the coat. Without the coat, the embryos took on the water they needed right away to germinate; thus, super fast germination and much higher percentage of germination as well.
