    Hi,
I'm new to the pepper forum. I was just searching through old posts, noticed the 2013 Grow List thread, thought, hmmm, wonder if there's a 2014 thread...and there it was.

This is my third year growing peppers. Last year I sold pepper and tomato seedlings at a community yard sale. I'm gradually working up my courage (and experience) to sell at farmers markets. So I'm especially interested in varieties people might like to buy, that aren't usually found at garden centers or the big box stores, if anyone has any suggestions. This is what I have so far--need to pare it down a bit due to lack of space.

    ANAHEIM
    ANCHO
    BIRDS EYE CHILI PEPPER
    BLACK HUNGARIAN
    CAJUN BELLE HYBRID
    CHICHIMECA HYBRID
    CUBANELLE
    EARLY JALAPENO
    FLAVORBURST
    GYPSY HYBRID
    HABANERO
    HOT PORTUGAL
    HUNGARIAN YELLOW WAX
    ITALIAN PEPPERONCINI
    MARCONI RED
    PASILLA BAIIO
    POBLANO L
    PURPLE CAYENNE
    SERRANO
    TABASCO
    TRINIDAD PERFUME

Nice looking variety of peppers. One list super hot and one list not overly hot. That's what's great about peppers, there's something for every taste.

Best of success to you both in your 2014 season!

This year, I'm trying my hand at overwinter-ing: Big Jims, Poblanos, and Tabasco plants. We'll see if I was successful. I'm scared that the Maryland winter got too cold for them and even though I have a small green house, it's very basic.

I'm planning on growing: Pepperoncini, Pasilla, Jalapeno, and Italian Marconi Golden or sweet cherry blend (or both)

So, if all goes well I should have:
    Big Jims
    Poblanos
    Tabascos
    Pepperoncinis
    Pasillas
    Jalapeno
and Italian Marconi Golden - or - Sweet Cherry Blend

I am growing about 50% of those on dsb22's list. That is mostly on the tame and mild side. My hottest is habanero. I also have Thai . Most of my peppers are grown as vegetable in everyday use, rather than for sauce and powder. Of course , I have enough of them for drying and hot sauce too.

    Update:
Possibly adding 2 more to my list:

    -- Bishop's Crown
    -- Chinese Five color.

I wish you all a mildly HOT season ahead.
