I'm over here in western Bastrop County Texas, and we've had weeks of over one hundred degrees the last few years. This condition along with the continuing drought killed all of my native Pequins and Tepins, which I've re-planted and naturalized over a couple of years.
The only "exotic" superhot I grow is Bhut Jokola and they grow fine with morning sun and afternoon shade. I also drip irrigate. Had these get almost 5' tall last year. Long as you have good amended soil, and protect the seedlings from wind until they get a set of good stems, and don't believe that the last average freeze is March 15, you'll do fine.
