Indoor peppers under mh and hps

I have a bhut jolokia under 175w mh and 50w hps about 12 inches above the tops of the plants. I put 2 drops of shultz's in for every 8 ounces I water with. The pepper has got a dry brown spot on the tip of one of the leaves and the 2 newest leaves look like they might turn brown too. I water 8 ounces a day and the plant is in a 12 inch pot in miracle gro cactus mix. I haven't had any problems over the last few weeks it has been growing. Any thoughts.

Move the light up until it's about 2 1/2 feet above the plants and see if that helps.

Cactus soil is probably alkaline in its PH which may hinder the plants uptake of nutrients. This may cause the plants to be a light green in color. However, the brown tips on the leaves is usually a sign of over watering.

and do not use worm tea directly on the plant either. Too strong but works better for the hydroponics. I have no answers

I don't use Miracle Gro potting soil because it has locally obtained ingredients that vary in quality depending on where potting soil was made.
