| So far, I have email responses from the follow 3 list members: Lief Erickson Gro-nut Slide It On DVD I have replied with my address for sending the SASE. However, the reply keeps getting rejected that I am sending to Gro-nut. If you have an alternate email address, please send that. OH, one other thing, if anyone really doesn't care to send a SASE for whatever reason, I will still send you out some seeds. Just email me your address in that case. |
| Thank you. I would like any that you can spare of any type as my seed collection is small. I will need your address to mail the SASE. Does it have to be a bubble envelope as many ask for? I have received a few seeds with out a bubble envelope and they traveled just fine. |
| farnell: Just email me at the email in my member page and I will reply with my address. I don't require any padding with the sase but you can include that if you wish. I usually don't use padding but surely some do. I will mail back with SASE and whatever padding or lack thereof that anyone sends me. The reason I require everyone to email me off list is that I do not want to post email or home addresses openly on this list. |
| add Dawn Jordan and farnell to the list of email requests that I have received. Lief Erickson Gro-nut Slide It On DVD Dawn Jordan Farnell I will update when I receive the sase and when they are mailed out. |

| Thank you Bruce, If you still have some to share I would like the Numex Twilight. I will email. |
| I would love to try these if you still have some to share. Thanks! Very generous. |
| These are the people who have contacted me via email so far. I have responded with my address for all of them. If you have requested seeds from me via email and have not yet gotten my reply with my mailing address, please post again in this thread. Lief Erickson |
| Thank you for the generous offer. I just sent you an email. Dan |

| Anyone that could resist those seeds is a much stronger person than I! Email sent. |
| Oystereater: I have yet to receive your email. But I sent you my address through GW. Here are the names of those I have received requests from and replied with my address for sending the SASE: Lief Erickson Gro-nut Slide It On DVD Dawn Jordan Farnell Cheezdoodle12 churnoble toucan Coach McGurk trickfox Derek_tn dan4279 gardendrivenlife Oystereater If you requested seed and sent me an email but didn't get back a reply yet, then contact me again via this thread. |
| I sent you an email, but didn't get a reply back. I'll try to send you another one. Thanks! Dan |
| Seems a lot of people are not getting my replies to their emails through GW. Garden Web must be blocking direct replies from emails sent through their system. So, in the future, just email me at the address below direct from your email program instead of through GW. I will then reply with the address to send the SASE. Sorry for the confusion. Bruce |

| Hi Bruce, I didn't see a reply so I just forwarded my email directly to the address above. Thanks, Laura |
| Reply sent Laura. Thanks, Bruce |
| Thank you so much for your offer. I am a new gardener and any seeds to add to my box would be wonderful. I will send you an email in just a moment. Missy |
| OK, everyone on this list should have gotten a reply with my address for the sase: If not, email direct at the email address posted a few posts above. Lief Erickson |
| Seed giveaway is going good. Thanks for emailing me direct and not using the GW email system. It was causing problems. Things seem to be working better now. The following people have requested seeds and I have tried to email them back my mailing address for the sase, if you haven't gotten my address back, make sure you email me straight from your email program and not through garden web. I think t-bones has used the GW system and may not get a reply from me. Lief Erickson I can put together some more packets of seeds but I will have to end this offer soon. |
| Hi, I'd love to send the SASE for some of your most decorative pepper seeds - Twilight especially! Will send followup email. Thanks for sharing! LU |

| I'd like the NuMex Twilight and Black Cuban if the offer is still open. Thanks for sharing these awesome decorative peppers. I'll get an email out to you, also. |
| OK, here is the updated list of those who have emailed requesting seeds. If you have not yet received a reply with my mailing address for sending the SASE, then there may be a problem. Be sure to email me direct to my email address as posted above and don't use the GW system, email me direct from your regular email program. Oh, and I will have to end the offer at this point. i will have enough seeds to fill all these requests. If some of the requests fall through, I will re-open the offer. Lief Erickson Thanks, |
| Just an update. All on this list have expressed interest in my seed offer. I have "attempted" to email back everyone on the list with my address for sending the SASE. If you are on the list but haven't gotten the address, then email me again at the email address posted above. If you expressed interest already but are not on the list, please email at the email provided in the above posts. I have sent out two of the seed shipments already and those are anotated with the date sent. Thank you for all the interest and good luck this year with your growing efforts. And, I have stopped the offer to this point but if any of the previous requests fall through or I find I have more seeds to spare, I will open it back up at that time. I ask that all who have my address, please send the SASE out very soon. I will be expecting to receive them by early next week. | I just wanted to let everyone know that none of the seed I am sending out was isolated and there for you may possibly get a cross. This is how most people grow peppers as crosses are not common even if not isolated. However, they are possible and I want everyone to know that. In particular, the Black Cuban that I am sending out has a better chance of being a cross. I grew out three plants with seed that I knew were possible if not likely crosses, and two grew true to the Black Cuban but one did not grow true. So it was likely crossed seed. That being said, they were all three great plants. And I recently sent out a bunch of Black Cuban seed from one of the plants I that did grow true. It was true to Black Cuban but if it came from seed that had been crossed, it still could have been a cross and grown true. But from what I understand, any offspring from that plant could also exhibit mixed traits still. So that being said, for those I sent Black Cuban and have yet to send, keep in mind there is a better than small chance it is a cross. I did not isolate any seed last year and any seed I sent out and will send out could be a cross. My packs of seed are clearly marked "OP" or "Isolated" depending on how they are grown. Even the pretty Twilight was open pollinated. This is how most of seed you get in trades and for free will be and the vast majority of the time, it will grow true. I hope I haven't confused anyone because all this cross pollination, F1, F2, Hybrid stuff confuses me too. Bruce |

| A couple more SASE's arrived this weekend and the seeds are all packaged up and in the mailbox for the mailman tomorrow morning. One of the packs that will go out tomorrow is going to: Isaac H. |
| Thanks Bruce I got mine yesterday but didn't get to get on here. I will plant several soon. Thanks again. |
| OK, it looks like the giveaway will be ending this Friday. If your SASE has not gone out by today, it likely won't make it here in time. The last request I got was several days ago so there has been ample time. I am still waiting on a couple that recently emailed and said they had just sent it. Beyond that, it will end Friday. I will still have a few batches of seeds left in case I get a late SASE that made a detour through China or got caught up in the New England snow storm however. And if one or two more REALLY, REALLY want some of the seeds, I can probably accomodate but act fast. Here is the list of those whose seeds I have already sent out and a list of those I am waiting on for a SASE. Peppermeister - sent seeds 02/04 I have not received a SASE from the following: Thanks for all the interest and good luck with your growing season this year, |

| Esox's peppers are highly recommended. I got Bhut jolokia and orange habanero seeds last year from him and they were beautiful plants which were fantastically productive. Here is a picture of the orange hab and at the link below is a pic of the Bhuts. |
Here is a link that might be useful: Bhut jolokia
| Nancybeetoo: Wow, nice Hab plant there. That is about how mine got too. Huge production. It had a ton of full size pods on it when the season ended too....same thing for the Bhut's....Although, I have been told the Bhuts were actually a variety of Naga and not truly Bhut Jolokia. I tried to notify everyone on this list last year of that fact. Never-the-less, they are extremely hot and like you said, productive. Your Habanero there is even bigger than mine but then you have a couple months of extra growing season than I do. Good job and I hope you have as good of a season this year. Bruce |

| Bruce, Naga or Bhut, they were delicious. Oregon is known for a long, cool growing season and we don't always get a good pepper crop. I pulled the plants when the nights started getting cold and even the green pods ripened. I had so many peppers that I ended up drying several dryer loads and I have about 2 quarts of ground peppers at this point. I think I will add it to salsa to make it hotter. Nancy |
| 2 quarts of ground peppers.....sheeeesh! That is gonna be a lot of salsa. Good for you and hope this year is a repeat. Bruce |
