Medium to low heat please.
I can only grow a few plants.
We love jalapeno poppers cooked on the grill, but have only used store bought jalapenos. |

I love just about any pepper on the grill however a little favorite recipe I tend to cook often is just simple grilled poblanos stuffed w/ queso and fresh diced habaneros :) but jalapenos would work in place of habs if you dont want the extra heat. you can pretty much stuff them with anything. |

| I know you asked about roasting/grilling, but anaheim chilis in a stew is to die for, and that has a medium heat. |

| I agree with zippty on that , anaheims(similar to poblanos) do add a nice medium heat to just about anything and also taste great roasted smoked or grilled. |

That does sound good. I do like a pepper with a little heat in my soups. Didn't think about stew. I always put fresh jalapenos or dried chipoltes in beans. |

| 1 million percent, definitely Mucho Nacho Jalapeno's. I made some frickin awesome Chipotle seasoning with them last year! =) |

I like poblanoes. They are plesantly spicey but not vry hot. Skew them with some roma toms, and red bells and put them on the grill. Poblanoes also make good stuffers. Again, I like the slight hot flavor and prefer them over bell pepper. For friers, same plus cubanelle. I am getting hungry .LOL. |

| I would definitely say Anaheims myself. If you have only used store bought Jals, then you may want to grow some yourself. Nothing beats a fresh Jal picked from the garden. |

| I should have mentioned jalapenoes too. I had lots of them last year. They are much meatier than poblano, anahem, or cubannelle. If picked young, they can be almost sweet. |

Thanks for all the info. I'm going to try growing peppers for stuffing and grilling, and my 14 year old grandson is going to try growing some for chili and salsa. |

Pimiento de Gernika green ( as is customary) and red ripe, left whole ( I cheated on the red and removed the seeds), fried in olive oil and sprinkled with a little sea salt. The two smaller peppers are the Hungarian Gabi which is probably not usually used this way. The Gernika was very good both green and red-I think I preferred the red. Same for the Gabi which has moderate |
