Timbo. From my understandings the term douglah in trinidad means chocolate. So there really is no such thing as a red douglah. I think I sent you some seeds labeled douglah gone red. So I would assume it crossed with something. I have two plants that were supposed to be Douglah"s that are producing red pods. They are exremely hot but not as hot as there mother :)

pepperlover sells a red douglah, but i agree with Romy. Thats why i never bothered ordering it. The ones i sent you, labeled trinidad douglah. Are true dull, rough looking. I sent you some fresh, vacuum packed. If you need more seed just let me know. John

What Jamie said... no such thing as a red Douglah.

A Trinidadian friend explained the name this way; the term Dougla (pronounce DOE - GLA) is used to describe mixed breed African/Indian people only, so an Indian/White person is not Dougla. It is from the Hindi word doogala which means "mixed"

Dang John, I don't know if I'm losing my mind or what. You did send me some douglah seeds. I'll go back through my seeds and see if I can find them. I haven't traded with anybody, so they have to be here somewhere. I think you're right Jamie, I believe these did come from you. The pack says (crossed) on it. I didn't notice that before.
