Congratulations! Not on the foot injury, but on being able to get those plants outside. It's always a relief to make it to that point where the plants can start fending for themselves. It's kind like sending your kids off to their very first day of school.

Our temps might reach 67 degrees today too, but the difference is that the last frost date here is still 7 or 8 weeks away, so I am about to start the whole hauling them in and out phase. Not my favorite part of the growing season. It's also when bug watch begins, since there's usually some aphids or fungus gnats that hitch a ride back inside the house!

How about a family photo !!? The ones in the big pots are my overwinters. They have been outside for about a week. The ones inside the milk crates are trying to get tough ! so far so good !

Yep, my guys are back outside today too. But I don't leave them out when the temps are due to drop below 50.

I'm thinking about reconfiguring the Going to the Sun Wagon to move the whole lot on wheels. At this point it would be easier to carry the 8 big over-winters than the 50 or so wannabes.

How exactly is your is your name pronounced ? DMForcier. In my mind it always comes out as "The Enforcer" like you punish lawbreakers by making them eat superhots or maybe you have bhut jolokia guns or something. Is it a play on your real name ? Maybe I read too many comic books....

"DMF" is my initials. It and "DMForcier" aren't pronounced at all. "Forcier" comes from minor French nobility (who had the good sense to miss the Revolution) so uses the French pronunciation. It has the same root as "enforcer".

There were those who claimed that DMF stands for Dumb MoFo, but they're all dead now.
