Soil Temperature / day length outside.

I have a raised bed covered with a low polyethylene tunnel. In the morning the soil temperature is about 60, when the outside temperature is in the 30s. Later in the day it's up to 70s. When I open the poly tunnel, I am greeted with a blast of steamy warm air.

I started pepper seeds early and there is not a lot of room for them inside now.

The days are still short.

Does it sound OK to plant them in the raised bed now? I have never tried growing peppers outside this early in this Pacific NW climate.

I have Red Portugal but soon the seedlings for Tabasco, Fish, Hot Banana, Cayenne, Lemon, and others could be moved too.
