Do you know the name of this Cayenne? There any many different brands. Some that are sold in the store are hybrids. Did you grow it from seed? It also could be a Red hot Portugal that looks like a cayenne. They curve that way.

I once had one that had twisted fruit too. It was an awesome producer. It was a Rista Cayenne. The fruit was always twisted. That was just the way the species produced the fruit. To me, your fruits looks good as does the plant. As long as it keeps producing, flowering and taste great, I see no problem.

Honestly no idea what kind of cayenne it is, but seems to be a pretty standard one. I was a bit concerned because the first harvest produced "regular" ones, i.e. not deformed. But if this kinda thing is normal and jus happens, I'll just go with it... This is the first harvest of deformed ones, so we'll see. By the way, yup, I grew from seed.

Deformed fruit is usually a case of pollination issues from what I've read. Been extra dry or wet? Have you sprayed the plants a lot in the last couple months?

Hey Kevin... if anything, its been a bit more wet than dry, but nothing too extreme. I haven't sprayed them with anything ever... over the past few months, I've given a little bit of fertilizer, but thats it.

I'm not sure if its a pollination issue, because it sits next to two other plants, one of which is producing nicely (the peruvian yellow peppers that you've seen, the one with that had the weak stem and another that is just starting to produce peppers post flowering period).

I'll taste them once they are ripe and go from there. Otherwise for now, I suppose there is not too much of an issue/much I can do.
