With indoor plants I have a temp. problem at different times of the year.
I think buds like warm days BUT cooler nights seem to set off pod production.
Combined , hot days AND cooler nights seem to work best for MY GROW indoors.
An even Temp. , 24-7 seems to suck in general for a lot of varieties(not all).

Maybe check out your temps. ,your plant looks happy nute wise.
Don't expect all the buds to pod out in those pots.(they look to be 4in).
I grow plants indoors for pure seed in 4-4 1/2in pots,then put them out in #15 pots.

A plant will only put out the pods it can support.
You can get better pod production etc. by adding nutes in your water every time you water.
Kinda like Hydroponics.
Just make sure you wash the old stuff out when you water(water until your pot has runnoff).
Discard runoff water to your lawn etc.

Your plant looks like an Apple,Cheese or Cherry Pepper.
What is it?

I will not tell what it is, because I do not know what it is. It was a seed saved from my uncles pepper plants last season. I was actually hoping you could tell me. I am hoping for a pod so I can get help to identify them. All I know is that the parent plants were shorter and bushier with peppers pointing upwards and were red. Approximate length is 2", diameter is between 1/4" - 3/8". I will be posting pictures when I get a pod or two. Thank you.

Patience is a virtue in chile growing.

The plant will abort flowers when it is still developing. Even if it were to set pods, I'd advise you to pluck them off in favor of allowing the entire plant to grow larger first.

You may even already have some fruit starting. Look to see if you have a little green ball in the bottom of the flower. I just got some fruit on one of my jalapeños about a week or so ago. Funny enough they started on my runt jalapeño plant. The thing is less than a foot tall.

I have the same, buds forming on a plant I consider too small. Plucking until it is the right size.
