ladybugs

I just had to share this with you guys. I have been fighting aphids all season. I've also been letting ladybugs loose in my greenhouse, they immediately disappear (or die, haven't figured that one out). Well, once it warmed up I realized they'd all just moved outside to the garden, guess my radioactive greenhouse aphids weren't to their liking. Shortly after I had larvae everywhere, then pupae all over the wood of my raised beds. The ladybugs have started coming out of their pupae and I saw this one. I thought maybe she was recently out and the spots hadn't come on yet, but 2 days later she still looks like this.

Wow, I hvent seen one like that... thanks for sharing. I am curious as to why they wouldnt stay at a stable food source in your green house... access to water? too hot?

Ladybugs come in numerous variations, w/ spots or not, also various base colors.
