Wow, where are you growing this plant?
Those pods are incredibly developed for this time of year.

What color are the pods when ripe?

I am going to have a guess at San Diego.

That's what I'd have thought, too! ;-)

But his profile page says he's in the Netherlands!

Maybe these are older pics...?

Curacao, Dutch Antilles, Caribbean..highs 90, lows 80 all year round.
Bought peppers at local supermarket. Tasted nice! Dug hole. Threw in seeds. Added water. Now enjoying!
They ripen to red. Hypnotic aroma.

How long will my baby live? I read that in warm climates the pepper plants will be perennial..

RE: My hab!

I had a Habanero de arbol that was around 15 yrs old when the mites killed it last year.
Lots of other pepper plants grew for 5 +yrs. that I had too.

Hi again Sjon: I just responded to your post about the bird chillies you grew before seeing this post. In that post I mentioned that I had planted and successfuly germinated seeds from a store=bought hab. The peppers in your pic. looks like the ones I bought, so maybe you have a red hab. Very nice flavour and good heat.
