Are you talking about pepperochini's?

The "yellow peppers that they have in the restaurants", at least around here, are pepperoncinis. Green are jalapeno. Some cajun places have a bottle of green tabasco (or similar) chiles in vinegar. They look yellowish after being in there a while.

Be aware that both the pepperoncinis and jalapenos that you get at restaurants are pickled.

If they aren't pickled, just take a pod home and pull the seeds out.

Are you talking about the hot ones?

I was on a hunt to find those a few years ago. In pickled form, they seem mostly to be called "hot yellow peppers." It seems the fresh form might be called Cascabella (not to be confused with Cascabel).

I've gotten seeds for a yellow hot pepper pictured above that were called galaguara from Mexico in a trade years ago.
Never been able to find the seeds again...

WasabiFlux got the picture right. Those are the ones. Now on to the hunt for the seeds. Thanks everyone. Cascabella will be a must for this season if its not too late. If not then next season, again Thanks to all. Oh yeah one more question are these a Chinense or Annuum pepper.

Id say if you want a fix they sell them already pickled in jars at most large grocery stores. Just look in the ethnic section.

Reynal, thanks for the fix tip, However I would like to give it a try at growing and pickling. I would like to try pepperocini you know the other yellow mild pepper for sandwiches. Thanks,

I just picked up a Plant called Guerrito Pepper at green arrow/green thumb today.
Googled the name and it shows a bottle of the pickled peppers you are looking for.
The tag says they are yellow pods the same size and color-yellow.
I was told Guerrito means small yellow pepper...

I would think that "Guerrito" would mean *little warrior* ;-)

I have no idea what it's literal meaning is.

I was told a lot of Little or small yellow peppers are called or refered to as Guerrito peppers.
I guess I should have said in Mexico Guerrito,when refering to peppers means a small yellow pepper according to what I was told.

A guy at work told me in Mexico they use the name for the yellow chiles I think are being asked about here.

Just like the name Red Chile,it can be one of any of the many kinds of red chiles.

Little worriors would fit to someone who isn't into super hots... then they'd have to be called little girly men. :)
