Transplanting from Hdyro to Soil

Posted by jtej New York, NY (My Page) on

I've successfully overwintered four scotch bonnet pepper plants. I transplanted them from their soil pots and grew them hydro pellets over the winter. They survived and flourished with the hydoponic nutrients.

Now the weather is getting warm and they continue to grow bigger and bushier. I need to get them outside, and was hoping someone could give me advice on how to transplant them back to soil without too much shock.

thank you!

That'll be a real challenge. I hope someone has an answer for you. Expect massive root-death.

You could try an outdoor Dutch Bucket setup Im sure they can adapt to soil but I would trim roots and cut back the plants doing that would be your best bet
