Hello all,

I made me 3 raised beds today and went to a local dirt supplier. I bought compost that I was told was 60% Cow manure and 40% Chicken manure that has been aged 2 years at least. I do not have a Ph meter and was wondering what you guys think the Ph would be at? I have not added anything as of yet, afraid to really until I get a better feel for the soil.

Welcome any advice on a good Ph meter to but.

If it's a reputable dealer and it's been aged that long, should be pretty neutral. Smell it! If it smells earthy, it's good to go!
