Matchhead experiment on mystery pepper.

Never done this but heard about it. I put some matchheads in the hole before transplanting my plant. I put a little soil over the matcheads then planted. We'll see what happens. I'll post the plants progress. Have no idea what kind of pepper it is. Bought at a local supermarket and it was unmarked. I think it might be a Jalapeno.

Very good. We are learning some of the secrets of growing great peppers.
Now I have a question : How far deep do you need to bury the matchheads ?. I have already potted most of my peppers. So I cannot put them under the roots.

At that point, you might want to put them a couple inches down around the plant.

I also have some sulfur powder too but for some reason, I'm afraid of overdoing it. With ferts, underdoing it is always better than overdoing.

If the peppers are already planted, I think I might try the sulfur powder instead of match sticks. That way you can avoid disturbing the roots.
