When do you intend to put then outside? Will you be planting in the ground out in containers?

Grow your jalapenos indoors? You need LOTS of light. Peppers are high-energy plants. How do you plan to give them the sunlight that they need?

You really have two choices; free outdoor sunlight or an investment in high output light(s) and ongoing electricity costs.

I grow some kinds of peppers to maturity indoors under shop-lights in the winter, but low-growing, spreading types of plants. Jalepenos would NOT be on my list of peppers to grow indoors, except to start seedlings that were planted outdoors when the weather allowed it.

To be honest don555 has the best looking indoor plants grown to maturity I've ever seen with using just shop lights. But I would agree that certain peppers do best indoors.

brenda, not much to say about planting outdoors. Just give them lots of sun (after hardening off) and water them when they droop.
