Two Layers of soil in containers

This is 7 Pods Brain Strain. I have grown it in 6.8 gallon container.

The container soil has two layers, 2 lower portion of the container is 5:1:1 and 1 portion of the upper container is potting soil with perlite. The mulch is DE cat litter. I am thinking to use three different soil layers for my containers.

Anybody had experiment this crazy things :)

You may call it crazy, but your plant looks very happy and healthy. Looks like you may have to try that mix again.
