Second season questions

I'm starting to realize that it's soon time to get my plants outside again. Last year I built a raised bed for my peppers. I only grow peppers, tomatoes and tomatillos (can you tell I like salsa?), and having read that it's recommended to not grow any of these in the same spot more often than each fourth year, I'm wondering how to reuse my bed.

What are the potential problems of putting peppers in the same bed that held peppers last year? Is there anything I can do to mitigate potential problems? My bed is rather large, so replacing all the soil isn't a very attractive option. I could, however dump out some of it and top off with soil and/or compost.

Any suggestions are highly welcome!
