Rootbound and lack of nutrients.

How are you fertilizing?

Very rarely I fertilizer as its been fairly healthy up until now... its in a decent size container, but nothing I can do at this point.

From time to time, I give a small dose of 15-15-15. The package calls for 4 pellets, but I was giving it two. The last time was about a month ago.

Should I give it some more? I also have a less stronger fertilizer, that is 1.1-3-0.3 and a few other things in there in low strength.

I also have a fertilizer thats all of the none "main" nutrients.. I could use that as well.

What do you think?

Yes, it's a plant in a container, it needs consistent nutrients or it will decline. Feed it.

Agree with Josh. Feed it consistently..every 3-4 waterings or so.

I'd also get him into a larger container.

OK. I wanna know what kind of fertilizers you guys are using.
My plants are lacking vigor.

BTW: they are in pots and the medium is 5-1-1 with SRF, plus dolomitic lime.

I agree with the fert issue. From my look at the appearance I'd say nitrogen was mostly needed - Salavene, I know you have different access to ferts in your region, so use what's available (and the plant is large enough to hit it with the full strength).

Seysonn - I don't recall if you're organic or not, but I use MG tomato formula full strength once a week... Sometimes I use miracle gardener in the same way ( it's a MG knock off made by Walmart).

Thanks Jay. No I am not organic.
I have 2 kinds of MG ferts: One is Shake n Feed slow release (12 -4 -8) . The other is the blue water soluble (24 -8 - 16), I have already mixed in some Shake n Feed with the potting mix. So now I lightly use the water soluble staff at about 1/2 recommended strength. It is that OK?

Seysonn, why only at 1/2 recommended strength? I would be going full force right now.

Seysonn: That's fine. My guess to your slow progress is temps.

Seysonn - Kevin's thought is probably correct given your area, but I agree w josh - they're big enough to give them the adult dose by now.

Thanks all, I gave it some fertilizers last night and will continue to re-fertilize more often (though cautious of course to not over-fertilizer).
