Give it a shot you may or may not get anything but old seeds do germinate if they were kept well.

You have nothing to lose by trying.

The odds are very low, but if you try germinating enough seeds, you might find a viable one in there that will make a plant.

I found some really old pepper seeds a couple of years ago and tried germinating all of them. Most didn't sprout, but a few did and I wound up with a plant or two to regenerate the supply.

Definitely plant some. I have packages of several varieties of seeds from the 90's (and many many more from 2000-2005), they all germinate fine. I planted 2 seeds from a package from 97 this spring, both germinated. If they were stored well, like Mark said, they should germinate.

You might as well give it a try.

I had some Birds eye pods that someone gave me. It was in their freezer for 2 years. I could not eat the pods (freezer burn) but I threw a hundred seeds or so in some soil and left it alone for fun. I got one. So you see, you may get lucky and get a few or the one.

Soil? Sand? Water frequency? Hormone treatment? Anything other than plant them?

Leave (at least) half of them alone. Work with the other half. That way you have the option of trying again.
