Jalepenos are producing- but TINY peppers

Hi there,

I've got a couple dozen jalepeno plants that have been in the ground a few weeks. They are all pretty good size for this time of year (12+") and have been flowering like mad, have dark green foliage, and overall doing great!

Most of them have started producing peppers, but they are incredibly TINY, looking more like a Serrano sized pepper (I know they are jalepenos but I just wanted to give a size reference). I'm growing them in a raised bed, compost added before planting, as well as "iguana juice- bud & bloom booster" applied once a week ago.

Am I doing something wrong? I don't grow hybrids, as I save the seeds from year to year (although growing a mucho nacho could take away this problem! Lol) I'm growing "jalepeno m OP" if that helps.

Anything I can do? Or am I doomed to have smaller jalepenos by growing open pollinated varieties?

Thanks in advance!
