100% germination isn't unusual, though you shouldn't count your chickens until they get their second set of true leaves. I'm running between 50 and 60% making it to "outside viable" stage.

At this stage beware of over watering, which I'm sure you know, and of too little light. As soon as they germinate, worry less about heat and more about light.

Also, I think that 5:1:1 looks a bit odd. More shreds that chips, and not much perlite. How did you make it? (Btw, I don't like to germinate in 5:1:1, but to each his own.)

Make sure you properly bag the flowers for any pods you plan to save the seed from since you are growing other varieties... Even if they are not that nearby each other.

i now have three plants starting to grow their second set of leaves. transplanted them to 6" pots and i actually used the miracle-gro moisture control potting mix and sifted it to remove some of the thicker fibers and forestry compost but left some on top of soil to hold moisture in the soil better. looking to take any ideas on creating a good soil for the outdoor stage and curious as to when i should start the hardening off stage for these super hots? have already begun a light breeze on the plants to strengthen the plant itself. getting roughly 18 hours light 6 hours of dark under growlights and partial natural filtered uv light. . just had 5 more plants germinate will be doing some variable growing to see what will create best growth since this is my first time growing these super hots.and yes the morugas will be 150' away from any other pepper types. and will be making sure all flowers are bagged so as not to cross polinate for my future grows plan on using the best plants to pull seeds from. ill post pictures every step of the way and keep you guys up to date. so your saying that the real hill to climb is getting plants past second set of leave stage?
