Great looking plant Tom. Where are you at, Z8?

I'm going to the Colorado River for a few days in mid-July and have a dripper on a timer (the black hose you buy at HD). Worked great last year when I came back from the mid-West. Plants were dark green and full of pods. I'm in Southern California where it's not uncommon for temps to reach 102-107 in July.
You say you do 15 minutes every 12 hours? I think I did 6 minutes every other day and that was fine.
Only thing that worries me is the water initially comes out very hot from the sun beating on the hose but it worked out last year..

I'm in Bastrop County, Texas, east of Austin about 20 miles.
It's not uncommon for temps to be over 100 for weeks at a time here since CC kicked in.
In my sandy soil profile, I find that that watering schedule works fine for pots and in-ground plants.
Never seen any evidence of injury from hot water on any of our plants. 'Course most of my runs are buried, except for the tomatoes, which I move around each year.
