Google search results for gardening sites going wrong

I was contacted recently about a link I have on my webpage of gardening seed suppliers. http://www.selectedplants.com/seedsupplies.htm

The problem was that his website had disappeared off of google's first page of results when searching for "organic sprouting seed" which should have given a hit for his website at http://organicsproutingseeds.com/. When he investigated, he was told that a link on my site might be one of the reasons his webpage had been downgraded to oblivion. I removed the link, but got to thinking that if google is blasting a gardening oriented website like his, maybe they are doing the same for some other websites that are commonly used by users on this forum.

Please take a few minutes and do a search for your favorite pepper sources and see if they are being similarly affected by google. I checked my website and found that it is returning between 7th and 10th on the first page from a search for "heirloom tomato plants" and 34th from a search for the much more generic "tomato plants".

Meantime, I have about a dozen pepper varieties growing this year. Just mentioning so you will know I am not a fly by nighter.

Trinidad Scorpion Moruga
7pot Douglah
Bhut Jolokia
La Rouge Royale
Albino
Carlo Putini
Franks
Little Bells
Stocky Red Roaster
Golden Bullet
PPurple Sweet - deepest purple foliage I've yet seen in a pepper
PPurple Hot - same deep purple in a hot pepper
