Help identifying leaves...

Just on a lark, I planted some Bhut Jolokia seeds that I bought as dried peppers in my local grocery store. I'd stored them for about a year, then finally got around to separating the seeds out and planting them in 1/3 cr*ppy soil from the front yard, 1/3 rich potting soil, and 1/3 sand from the back of my pickup, reasoning that this MUST be similar soil conditions to Northern India :)

Planted in mid-May, right when it started seriously thinking about getting HOT here in Eastern Kansas. I figured the average temp for the last three days was at least 75F, the recommended soil temp from what I've read. Only a couple weeks later I danced with joy when I had sprouts. Realized that these were simply stray grass seed contamination, plucked them out and let the other little sprouts grow.

These pictures are what fits my Goooooogle image searches most accurately. Are these really the deal? Or should I face the hard truth that I have some useless inedible plant like a flower?
