No, you don't need to prune it. It's doing exactly what it is supposed to be doing - growing up big and strong.

Some plants naturally form the shape of trees. Some people trim theirs for aesthetic purposes. Left alone the plant will adapt its habit (shape etc) to the prevailing conditions.

Which at the moment it is very happily doing. Looks good.

It is naturally growing tree-like, by branching out.

It is a healthy looking plant.

I like it. Normally, Tabasco's grow bushy as it's a C. frutescens and that's a characteristic. Yours is tall and forming a "Y".

Nice looking plant - though be prepared to find more superlatives to describe its growth ;) The last couple of times I grew Tabasco, they were puny until right about now and they ended up at around 4 feet tall (in 12" pots) by the end of the season. I've never pruned them, just let them grow and you should get lots of colorful upright peppers.

As Dennis says, you've got a long time before worrying about overwintering so don't sweat it now. Of the peppers I've overwintered, Tabasco was one of the most resistant to spider mites and aphids so I'd think a quick bath at the end of the season would do the trick.
