it tasted ok. 5/10 rating. could have been better lol. skin is way to thick to just eat off the bush.

You can harvest birdseye green or red. Yes.. the skin is tougher when red, but the flavor is more developed. But the green ones still pack a punch and the skin isn't tough at all.

I have always thought that birdseye are tiny.

That pod was maybe 3 inches. Big maybe.
It was labeled as birdseye when I got them but now I'm confused. I got 2 different "birdseye" from 2 different places....one looks like the first pod I posted and the other looks like an elongated hot cherry. The pods on both plants grow up. Which is the real birdseye?
