orange crab like bug

hi folks i started to harden off some plants so i put a bunch on the front porch,the next morning which is today i discovered 2 small orange crab like bugss climbing around i killes the one and the other got away.Does anyone know what they could be and do they cause damage. thanks for all inputs.

i really hope it wasnt black with a couple orangish red spots on them....if they were those are lady bug larvae which are very benificial since they eat aphids and whatnot but dont hurt your plants

no they were pure orange abd when i put the mag glass to it, it looked like a crab.

Baby scorpions? Where do you live?

Maybe Crab Spiders? Or a Pseudoscorpion? Also some immature ticks are bright orangy-red.

i live in south western ontario, they are bright orange move fairly quickly and have pincers

Pseudoscorpions have pincers...

Not baby scorpions then but could be Pseudoscorpions. I seen one in my moms officea few years back. I had never seen one since or before that. They are pretty cool, almost look like a real scorpio.
