How often are you fertilizing, and with what?

I am fertilizing with foliage pro 9-3-6, once a week, 1 tsp. per gallon. It has been a very rainy season and it has been tough to get in the fertilizer regime, so sometimes they are getting fed on day 10. Another scenario, they are getting fed on day 7 but the pots aren't quite as dry as I would like them to be.

Hmmm, well it doesn't sound like fertilizer burn, in that case. Is there any slow-release fertilizer in the mix?

No slow release in the mixes. This plant is in 52 mix, no additions except my foliage pro as mentioned above.

I did have a thought. I have been using liquid fence a few times this spring/summer. Once the deer get the idea, they stay away. I can't remember spraying in hot sun, but??? All the other peppers, like 70+ don't look like this one, and they have been hit with liquid fence too.

Could it be fungal in nature?

I have no idea. I'm not the guy to diagnose fungus, bacteria, et cetera...but hopefully someone will recognize the symptom if it is a problem. I would just remove those affected leaves and toss them in the trash.

I've had the same happen when my leaves were wet too much. It was always a combo of rain + my preventative spray treatments, the leaves hate being wet all the time. With heavy cool spring rain i sometimes get the black fungal spots as well, but for that i pluck leaves and they don't come back.

Those side lesions do create entry points for bacteri/fungus spores though, so i would yank the worst leaves as well. Otherwise keep the leaves as dry as you can, and provide nutrition the traditional way, through the roots. Foliar ferts are ok sometimes, but it should not be their main nutrition, pepper and tomatoes aren't supposed to get their leaves wet all the time like that.

It may be a combo problem of wet leaves + minor fert burn on the sensitive "moisture lesions" that are trying to heal.

All easily correctible. Post back if you've seen no improvement in a week or two.

This particular plant is in Fafards 52 mix. Others I have in 5-1-1 mix.

I have plucked the worse leaves off and will keep an eye on things. I spaced the pots a bit further away from each other to get increased air flow as well.

I had slightly similar problems. It was not a serious damage to my plants. I had suspicion of nutrients deficiency.
