Are you overwatering? That could lead to yellowing of leaves really quick. Your plants way of saying "let me dry out!"

If not, under feeding is probably the cause.

It looks as if the reaper is your only C.chinense. They do grow more slowly than the other varieties up to a point - roughly the end of June - then take off.

One t hing that troubles me is that I don't see any new growth in the first pic. Are you seeing any?

No. That's my concern. Initially it was the happiest plant. I got all 12 from Chiliplants.com. No time here to grow from seed. I put the Reaper in its own pot so I would be able to up plant and possibly over winter. Everyone else is so happy Have a shishito that was the runt of the litter. There is always one. It has gone crazy.

Finally starting to see a little growth on my poor reaper. Haven't fed it because I haven't watered in 2 weeks - been rainy and humid here.

When I planted I used Fertrell 3-1-1 fish emulsion. I have that, Bud & Bloom 10-52-8 fertilizer and Neptune's Harvest 0-0-1 Seaweed Plant Food.

Which, when, How much? I am not a math/science genius and am having trouble understanding fertilizers, the numbers and what to use for what when. Any and all info in Dummy form would be so helpful!

Your reeper looks 200% better then the first picture. You are off to a great season.In a pot I fertilize every 10 days using 1/2 strength and it always worked for me. Im organic in the ground but in pots I use MG , not organic but it works very well. Got 260+ peppers off a Brown Scorpion last year in a 4gal. pot. Did not know about 5-1-1 back then I used ProMix and Perlite 50/50.This year Im really impressed with 5-1-1 and recommend it for container growing.

I would hit it with a full strength dose of Fish and Kelp, and simply follow the fertilizing directions on the package.

Snip off the very top and then let it grow on out.
It will bush out like a monster which means more pods for your season.

No snip. Just let it grow for a while.

At some point you could top it, which would force it to branch. I generally don't.
