I think my Pequin ...

may have sat too close to my cayenne last year. This one is getting kind of long. The original plants had pods short and elonggated- sort of like a half inch U with a little point. The original pods looks nothing like this. I know this looks like a bird chili, but I never grew those.

No more growth on these. I guess they came out normal

Jamacian Red mushrom habanero. These plants are very productive. My orange one overwintered well. This one is a little small, but they do get alot bigger.

I like the looks of the Jamaican red, never had one - how do they taste?

RE: I think my Pequin ...

Jay, I have not had a chance to taste these yet. This is my first year on the red. I have only grown the yellow/orange ones. I believe they are similar and that one is pretty fruity and to me has that nice hab flavor too, but it is a milder smokiness than other habs. Has heat similar to a orange hab, maybe a little bit milder, judging from the batch I grew, in my opinion. Super easy to grow too.

From the video, he says the red is hotter than the orange/yellow so maybe red is closer to orange hab heat. I probably will like these too.

Here is a link that might be useful: Red mushroom
