I will get ripe Holy Mole's this year!

Hi all-

I am very happy with where my plants are this year! I started many much earlier than normal, used Fafards 52 mix as my main mix (although I am still putzing with the 5-1-1 mix), and am looking forward to a decent harvest of pods.

I have tried this variety for a number of seasons and just could never get fully ripened pods by the end of summer. Either the plants got chewed on by rodents at a young
age or we ran out of warm weather.

This year looks good!

Looks great! Have you considered / tried overwintering? I do that with some plants to get a head start on the next season.

Have wanted to, but we just run out of time trying to bring everything else in!

You ever seen pictures of fishermen when they hold the fish way out in front of them and it gives the ILLUSION of a really big fish? Well, I just did that with that pepper!

I'm surtprised you have trouble with chilaca....they grow well in New York.

Congratulations. Holy Moles are really prolific so you should be buried soon. And just wait, those pods will get huge. I like Holy Mole better than the other chilaca's, at least for me, they are more prolific and much bigger fruit.
