How to remove pepper smell from house?

Hi All - I know this probably more accurately belongs in the Harvest forum, but I also know that folks here will know best what to do here.....

I am working on pickling jalapenos and hot banana peppers. I have got them all cut up, and my whole house smells like peppers. Last time I did this, the pepper smell lingered for days. Any tricks to getting rid of the pepper smell? It's almost like I can taste the smell, if that makes sense....

I made a batch of hot sauce inside whew big mistake had the whole family coughing. Only thing was to open all the windows in the house with fans blowing towards the back windows sucking in outside air from the front. All day event but that cleared out the pepper smell along with febreze.
