Fixing what ain't broke?

Cohorts,
I have 25 superhots in 5 gallon pails, where they've been since early June. In early June there was a torrential downpour, flooding the pots and turning the leaves a bit yellow. All of the pots have good drainage. Since then, I have not watered them AT ALL. Not a drop, and the soil is still a bit moist and the plants are doing very very well. They are in full sun all day.

There are no signs of wilting or needing water. Whenever it has rained since the downpour I have moved all of the pots to cover. There have been several extremely hot and sunny days in the past month.

The question is, when the time eventually comes to water them, should I fertilize? They have had no fertilizer whatsoever since their infancy. I know there are recommendations to fertilize bi-weekly.

I don't think fertilizer is necessary considering how well they are growing. Will it hurt? Is it advisable? I'm thinking just let nature do its thing.

Thanks.
