 o
Fatali question

Are red fatalis supposed to have a pinch to them about half way down? I'm saving seeds for next year and for friends and I want to know which morphology is most desireable. The one on the left or the one on the right ?

Thanks,
Scott

To answer your question, generally Fatali's do not grow with that trait.

Now my question, are these two pods from the same plant or different plants?

Same plant I have three like the one on the left, and the rest are like the one on the right. Maybe early pods deformed by the cold, maybe a cross?

"Maybe early pods deformed by the cold, maybe a cross?"

Hard to say. Are any later pods "constricted"?

Cross discussions later...

Yes, three so far

Oh later pods, sorry posted from my phone. I'm not sure if the three are later or earlier pods.

Thanks for your help,
Scott

In my experience fatalii - red or yellow - does not have a "waist".

RE: Fatali question

I have one with a similar shape. It was due to the flower petals not falling off properly before the pepper started growing. The ring of petals hindered the growth in that area.
