Yes, they are just starting out. I do like the purple color though.

I guess that would depend on what it crossed with. If it goes from purple to red or whatever, then I will try it out. It is just to small yet.

Calyx looks Annuum to me.

Looks like a yellow pod end coming from the bud slightly above.

I believe the small pods come out with no color. After a few days, they start to turn purple, on both sides. The longer one is a solid purple, the meduim one is almost there.

It kind of reminds me of a purple cayenne, but I believe it is not that species. The flowers are not quite the same, and the fruit on this is more curled then that of the cayenne. This plant is smaller too but not sure that makes a difference.
