do you think it works better in the water mixture or putting the cuttings in the soil? I have a few cuttings in potting soil cups that are still alive. If water works better, maybe I can move them.
Did you add more rooting powder in the water or just on the stems before you put it in the water?

I started it in the dirt but others here recommended the water technique. It's my first time so I don't know what's better. But I do know you have to water more the dirt way. As far as the rooting powder I just did it once when I first started them.

Thanks flipback23. I moved them over from the pot to the water. We will see which method has better and faster results.

Where and how did you make your cuttings?

My cutting are just a few stems from the bottom of the plant. I just cut them straight, moisted them with the growth hormone and added them to the water.

Actually the water method makes more sense since the growth hormone is in the water, constantly being absorded unlike the soil washing it out.

Thanks! I wish I would have seen this sooner. One of my poor guys died in an unfortunate leaf blower accident when he was just a seedling. Broke him right off at soil level and he flew away :(

Mine started out as a big broken branch. Then I just cut it into 4 pieces at node points dipped them in the rooting hormone and popped them in cups of water.

I make clones successfully all the time and never use cloning ammendments. Both in water and hydro.

Below the node? Above the node? Or through the node?

I cut them right below but I dont know if that is right or not since Ive never done it before. But it worked either way lol so far.
