hopefully when you say "soaking" you mean kinda damp, not actually soaking. and I've never heard of freezing seeds. I've heard of using the refrigerator, never heard of using the freezer. I keep mine in my dresser drawer.

Yes. I've never grown Moruga, but I'm sure it's no different than any other pepper.

What judo said... you don't want a soaked paper towel. Wring it out like a damp sponge.

If they're FRESH seeds, you should see the taproot emerging in about a week at 80-88 degrees.(Use a germination mat or on top of your water heater or DVR).

When you see the taproot, this is the time to get into soil--- If you let them get going too much, it will be like surgery trying to get loose from the paper towel.

woohooman: Thanks for the info, I'll take my seeds out put in on a ringing out paper towel and put it on my dvr as well.

Paul: a pre-soak is just about right for what you've done. I do an overnighter myself. I also scuff them up in a pill bottle lined with sandpaper prior to soaking.

Yep. pull them out of water, spritz a paper towel with tepid tap water, place seeds on a half paper towel, fold in half, pat down paper towel so there's contact with seeds, lay flat in a ziploc baggy, lay flat on DVR. Check in 5 days and every day thereafter.

A lot more guys/gals are more experienced than I at this method, but that's the gist of it.

yes, they're stored at room temp. that's how many people store their seeds. some keep them in the fridge. I'm not 100% sure that putting them in the freezer will kill the seeds, but it just seems like a bad thing to me.

you may want to consider tossing the ones you had in the cup of water, and starting over with new ones.

Judo: Many people freeze their seeds. Especially onions, which don't last over a year or 2 at room temps. Some seeds actually need a cold period to tell them to come out of dormancy. Peppers, on the other hand, I wouldn't know. Since they're a tropical plant by nature, they don't actually have a COLD period in their life span in the wild. As long as one keeps them dry and dark, I'm sure they do just fine in the freezer.
