Given your location it is probably a bit too late to plant seeds, but you can always save seed to plant next season.

I can plant them and grow them indoors over the winter and be ahead of the game next spring.

I hate those big "seed mixes".......Theoretically you need to plant and grow out ALL the seeds just to get the pepper varieties offered.....

Your 4 ozs will contain thousands of seeds....hope you have plenty of room........doug

I didn't order seeds I ordered fresh peppers, I'm just planning on saving some od the seeds and planting them. I've having a party Saturday and I'm making home made Mexican. These will be some EXTRA heat for the brave.

I've got the de-seeded pods in the freezer for later use, although I used the Red Bhuts for a violently hot, hot sauce and used a sliver of Peach Bhut in my scrambled eggs.

There's no guarantee those seeds will grow true to type though, just a heads up.

There's truth as to what you said, but I feel a tad bit more confident de-seeding the pods myself, I mean anyone can send/sell you an "ultra rare super hot" seed, when it could be a green bell pepper. I hope that never happens, but from what I've heard, she's a reputable seller and I can imagine that most if not all mutations have been grown out... hopefully lol

Thank you guys, I know what I get may very well not be what the pepper themselves are. it even says on their website that they do not separate the peppers grown for the peppers themselves. They do keep some separate for the purpose of seed sales.

Brian at theghostpepperstore is a good guy. He frequents another hot pepper forum and is always helpful and I have never heard any complaints about his business.

I know he does isolate some of his plants but I don't know if the pods that you are getting are part of the isolated stock. You could just ask him though if you are concerned with crosses.

Thank you, I'm not concerned about the crosses, his website clearly indicates that the peppers he grows that are for the purpose of shipping fresh peppers are not isolated. The seeds you buy from him are from isolated plants. I'll still be interested to see what I get from the seeds. I think I have just enough summer to get them going and then I can move them in for the winter.
