Another i.d. request

I know there are a lot of i.d. requests on here, and you guys/gals are super helpful. Attached is a picture of one of my plants which ought to be a Moruga Scorpion. I have 2 other plants but the pods are too young to tell anything from.

These ones do look like some Scorps I've seen pictures of, with the classic segmented look. Admittedly I've never grown them but got seed from a reputable vendor, everything else I got from them has grown true in past years (and this year).

The bottoms are starting to pucker and retract... if these are Scorps, when do the tails form? They are starting to "crinkle" noticeably now. I'm also surprised by the shade of almost fluorescent green.

I'm concerned I've sent bum seed to some people (I'm looking at you, robshaylia).

Your help is much appreciated.

The Moruga scorpion does not have the distinct thin tail like the Butch T or regular Trinidad scorpion. Your pods do have the classic Moruga pod shape.

That's awesome news thanks. I'll sleep like a baby now. By which I mean I might crap myself during the night (I have a 6 month old and I can attest to this).

I got these seeds a year ago, and the plant has been growing for a year. They were suppose to be ghost but obviously they are not. Does anybody have an idea what it is? Thanks

@ rforney703 looked online quick and that looks like a Jerusalem Cherry Pepper plant to me, I am no expert though.

Edit: just did some reading and it says the seeds are toxic so if your not getting sick I am completely wrong and have no idea. Also the unripe fruit looks a lot lighter ( yours look dark green)

I agree it looks like a Jerusalem Cherry and since you got it as ghost I would be leary with eating them. If you got seeds from eBay then I would really be worried. Also the leaf growing pattern looks off for peppers.

Another name for Jerusalem Cherry is Persimmons ornamental.
Looks like you have been growing it to me.

Buds do not look like Peppers at all...

I probably wouldn't eat those..they look of the night shade family..and not a pepper..the only pepper that I can think of that even kind of looks like that would be a cherry pepper..but leaves and flowers are different?eating those might make you a ghost.but not a ghost pepper
