Its a little hard to tell from the photo but its the best I could do. My bhuts seem to be turning from green to a brown almost chocolate color. Is that bad?
There are Chocolate Bhuts but that pod there in this photo looks to be some type of rot might be setting in can you add more photos of this pod and some others on the same plant ?
looks like a brown ghost starting to ripen give it a week your pepper looks fine.If you have rot it will be black inside If your pepper has a hole from a slug or another source this is common peppers also suffer from blossom end rot like tomatoes only the black end is sealed inside. It in important that there is a tip on the pepper an indent is a sure sign of this.Do not let your plants dry out -wet -dry out -wet keep your watering as even as you can
Haven't grown bhuts, but my hot cherries mostly turned brown before red. It kinda depended on ripening speed, some were completely brown first, others had brown spots that turned red while other green spots turned brown. My cayennes turned more of a purpleish red before getting fully red. It seems like all peppers have some sort of intermediate color before hitting the fully ripe color.
I took that bite. Amazing pepper. Hands down my favorite so far. I cut the pod into 4 equal sections and me and 3 coworkers ate it. Was way, way, way, better than the moruga scorpion. Also made a coworker cry. Lmao.
