I know that someone mentioned that he thought Bhut Jolokia's are more susceptible to moisture and I have to say I agree. Some have said pepper maggots but today I picked some and saw brown "squishy" sections--other than that they are perfect with no evidence of any entry/exit holes.
I believe a combination of very thin skin and wrinkly surface that holds moisture has made my BJ's rot. My Red Savina are fine.
It has been constant rain/cool weather here for virtually the whole summer.

That's exactly what I was seeing. I am now keeping the plants dry, and only spot watering the pots. Since the horrible heat and humidity have subsided, the plants have gotten better. I have been saving the seeds that appeared ok from my damaged peppers tho.
