Reaper Seed Observation

I've been air drying a few batches of reaper seeds, pulled from fully ripe pods and I've noticed a common occurrance.
The seeds are not flat and uniform but rather almost curled up in a "C" or wrinkled shape after they dry out. Fairly small as well. Is that a sign of non-viability?
