Ghost pepper colors

I grew a batch of regular ghost peppers I ordered from a reputable website. After they sprouted my wife and I transferred the batch and a few others to some potters. Not until they finally started producing peppers we realized we accidentally mixed a couple Jamaican hot chocolate plants in that potter with the ghost peppers. Now that they're starting to ripen, I'm noticing that one half of the potter is going from green to red and the other half is going green to yellow with now sign of turning red. The Jamaican hot chocolates are turning yellow also. It's going on about two weeks and nothing different. Do Jamaican hot chocolates turn yellow before turning brown and why is half my ghost peppers turning yellow and the other half normal?? Any insight would be appreciated.
